Managing your account
Your account settings are where you manage your social connections, content preferences, and profile. You can get there by tapping your avatar in the top corner and selecting Account.
Social accounts
This section shows all your connected platforms — TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. For each connected account, you can see:
- The platform and your username
- Connection status
- When it was last synced
Connecting a new account
Tap the connect button for any platform and you'll be redirected to that platform's login page. Sign in and authorize SocialGPT. You'll be sent back to SocialGPT once it's connected.
SocialGPT uses official OAuth connections — it never sees or stores your social media passwords. Your credentials stay between you and the platform.
Disconnecting an account
To disconnect an account, tap Disconnect next to it. This removes SocialGPT's access to that account. Your data on the platform is not affected — SocialGPT only had read access.
Tip
Content profile
Your content profile controls what kind of suggestions SocialGPT gives you. This includes:
- Content pillars — the topics you post about (e.g., fitness, cooking, tech). These affect your hook suggestions, trending hashtags, and creator recommendations.
- Categories — more specific content categories for finer-tuned recommendations.
You can edit these anytime. Changes take effect immediately — your next batch of hooks will reflect the updated pillars.
Preferences
The preferences section lets you customize your SocialGPT experience:
- Accent color — choose from six color themes to personalize the app: Purple (default), Ocean, Rose, Emerald, Sunset, or Pink. The accent color is used throughout the interface for buttons, highlights, and active states.
- Dark / Light mode — toggle between a dark theme (the default) and a light theme
- Email notifications — control what SocialGPT emails you about
Subscription & billing
The billing section shows your current plan, billing period, and credit usage. From here you can:
- View your plan — see whether you're on Free, Pro, or Expert, along with your subscription status
- Change your plan — open the pricing comparison to upgrade or downgrade. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of your billing cycle.
- Manage billing — update your payment method, view invoices, and manage your subscription through Stripe
- Credit usage — a progress bar shows how many credits you've used in the current period. Expert plans have unlimited credits.
Tip
Deleting your account
If you want to delete your SocialGPT account, you can do so from the account settings page. Deleting your account permanently removes all your data, including saved hooks, scripts, carousels, analytics history, and chat conversations. This action cannot be undone.
Getting help
If you need help or want to report an issue, you can find:
- A link to the Discord community where you can chat with other creators and the SocialGPT team
- A feature request form to suggest improvements
- A contact support option for direct help
Legal and privacy
From your account page, you can also access:
- Terms of Service
- Privacy Policy
- Data export — download a copy of your data
- Data deletion — request your data be deleted
That's everything! If you have questions that aren't covered here, the Chat assistant is a great place to ask — it knows how SocialGPT works and can walk you through any feature.
