Inspiration

The Inspiration page lets you track creators you admire and learn from their best-performing content. Think of it as a research tool — you can see what's working for others in your niche and use those insights to inform your own content.

Adding creators to track

To start tracking a creator, you can either paste their profile link or type their username. SocialGPT supports:

  • TikTok — paste a TikTok profile URL or type the username
  • Instagram — paste a profile URL or type the username
  • YouTube — paste a channel URL or type the channel name

If you paste a full URL, SocialGPT automatically detects which platform it's from. Hit Add and the creator will be added to your watchlist.

Tip

On the free tier, you can track up to 5 creators. Pick people in your niche who are a step or two ahead of where you are — their content strategy is more relevant to you than a mega-influencer's.

Suggested creators

Not sure who to track? SocialGPT suggests creators based on your content pillars. You can add any of them with a single tap.

What you see for each creator

Your tracked creators appear as cards showing their avatar, name, platform, and a brief bio. Tap on any creator to see:

  • Their full profile info
  • A grid of their videos
  • Which of their posts performed best
  • Video count and other stats

Top Videos

At the top of the Inspiration page, you'll see a horizontal scroll of Top Videos — the best-performing recent content from all the creators you track. SocialGPT picks a diverse selection so you're not just seeing one creator's content.

Each video card shows:

  • Thumbnail, creator name, views, likes, comments, and shares
  • Creator multiplier — how that video performed compared to the creator's own average (e.g., "3x their usual views")
  • Niche multiplier — how the creator's performance compares to the niche average, so you can spot consistently strong creators

This is a great place to start each day. Spend a few minutes looking at what's performing well and think about how you could put your own spin on similar ideas.

Tip

Inspiration posts also appear as cards in your home feed, making it easy to stay on top of what creators in your watchlist are doing without navigating to the Inspiration page.

How to use inspiration effectively

  • Look for patterns, not posts to copy. What hooks are they using? What topics? What editing style? How long are their videos?
  • Pay attention to engagement, not just views. A video with fewer views but lots of comments might be using a hook that really resonates.
  • Use it as a starting point for the AI. See something interesting? Go to Chat and say "I saw a video about X, give me a similar hook for my niche."

Removing a creator

To stop tracking someone, tap the Remove button on their card. This frees up a slot for someone else (if you're at your limit).
